Dr. McClellan was born and raised in Franklin, Michigan. She attended The University of Detroit Mercy and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. From there, she attended and graduated from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2011. Immediately following graduation from dental school, she was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy as part of the dental corps. In 2012, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she learned advanced techniques in general dentistry, as well as additional training in the fields of prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.

After serving in the US Navy for 6 years, Dr. McClellan resigned her commission in order to focus more on family and continued her dental career in a wonderful private practice in Washington as a full-time associate. Her family has recently made the move to Chapel Hill where she looks forward to continuing her career in dentistry and serving patients in the Cary community and surrounding areas. She truly loves what she does and enjoys meeting and building long-lasting relationships with her patients.

She is committed to continuing education to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and skill set to best serve her patients and ensure that they are always getting the best treatment available. High quality patient care and comfort is of the utmost importance to her as a clinician.

In her spare time, Dr. McClellan enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling when they get the chance, and exploring all that North Carolina has to offer.
